FAQs

What does Test & Treat (Tx) include?

It includes everything! It includes our most comprehensive allergy test and a full treatment set for your patient. There is an additional $15 fee for shipping.

Does the pet need to be medication free?

No medication withdrawal is required for our testing.

What is the difference between subcutaneous and sublingual Tx?

Duration and maintenance are the biggest differences. The initial set of subcutaneous injections last about 9 months. Refills last 7 months. Injections graduate from every other day to one per month. Sublingual treatment lasts 3-5 months, based on weight and the oral drops are given daily. Refills also last 3-5 months.

How does Tx work?

By exposing your patient to small amounts of allergen, you build their tolerance to the allergen. The pet’s immune system can process the allergens in small doses, learning how to be more effective and efficient in clearing histamines.

Why are you asking me to pick a Tx option before I get results?

Patients on treatment get better faster. Picking a treatment option in advance streamlines the process and allows your patient to receive treatment more quickly than if you had waited to receive the results.

What if I don’t know which Tx my pet parent would prefer?

Choose the “Call Clinic” option on the order form. This allows you to preserve the package pricing, while waiting to finalize your treatment option with your pet parent.

What if my patient is negative for treatable allergies?

0% of patients get better from testing alone. 99% of patients have 5 or more treatable allergies when tested.

How long will it take to receive Tx?

It will take approximately 10 business days to build and ship treatment to your clinic.

When will my patient see results?

Every pet is different. Most patients are seeing relief within 4 months. If your patient is not seeing relief, or is getting more symptomatic, please contact us. We can make treatment adjustments to get that pet the relief it needs.
